Win notes that the MB-07302, like all ETX modules, is designed to attach to application-specific carrier boards, enabling manufacturers to rapidly develop equipment, and to substitute varying processor modules as the need arises. The company also offers a ready-to-use carrier board, the 5.25-inch form-factor IP-09026 (shown below), to expedite evaluation, prototyping, and development associated with the MB-07302 processor module.

Key features and specs of the MB-07302, according to Win, include:

  • Core functions:
    • AMD Geode LX800 processor, clocked at 500 MHz
    • AMD Geode CS5536 companion chip
    • WinBond 83627HG super-I/O

According to Win, AMD supports the Geode processor and its companion chip with drivers for the Linux 2.6.11 kernel, and with beta-level drivers for the 2.4.24 kernel. Additionally, Win says it has performed compatibility tests of the MB-07302 module with a 2.6.11 Linux kernel, and with a 2.4-based DSL (Damn Small Linux) kernel.

Evaluation baseboard

The MB-07302 module's companion IP-09026 baseboard is built in shape of an ETX SBC (single-board computer), and includes ready-to-use connectors for analog VGA, dual LVDS, USB 2.0, IDE, IrDA, LPT, quad-serial, audio, 10/100Mbps Ethernet, plus a PCI expansion bus, according to the company.

The MB-07302 ETX module is priced at $269 and the IP-09026 carrier board is $130, in single units, with quantity discounts available.
