MIPS to the max

The new architecture, called “MIPS32 24K”, is expected to produce devices with operating performances ranging from 400 to 550 MHz (or greater), when implemented in 0.13um. The MIPS32 24K architecture is designed to scale beyond 0.13um process technologies and features the latest architectural enhancements and configurable features, while maintaining compatibility with the industry-standard MIPS32 architecture, the company said.
