MontaVista signs Nordic, Oz distributors

MontaVista Software has announced two new distribution partnerships that will expand its channel in the South Pacific and Nordic regions. Melbourne-based Madisent will sell and support Montavista products in Australia and New Zealand, while Nohau Elektronik AB of Malmö, Sweden will cover Sweden, Finland, and Denmark.

Madisent and Nohau will each market and support the complete range of MontaVista products, and provide front-line technical support, according to MontaVista.

“The embedded market in Australia and New Zealand is seeking open standards solutions, and we see customers accelerating the migration of their software platforms from other commercial and proprietary in-house developed RTOSes to Linux,” said Gary Fink, director of Madisent.

“MontaVista Software has grown to become an influential and successful global supplier of embedded Linux products and development tools,” said Mikael Johnsson, managing director, Nohau Elektronik AB.
