Jul 13, 2000 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 1 views

MontaVista today established a base of operations in Tokyo, Japan, and named Hitoshi Arima to serve as General Manager of the new MontaVista Japan operation. Arima is no stranger to the real-time operating system (RTOS) market, having recently served as Managing Director of Japan Operations for Software Development Systems (SDSI), which was acquired by Integrated Systems in 1999. Prior executive and management positions were with RTOS vendors Wind River and Tokico LTD (a Hitachi owned company), and with Internet Appliance engine and tools supplier Uniqa Inc. Arima will also serve as Auditor on the Advisory Board for the newly formed Embedded Linux Consortium of Japan.
