Prior to his Crossbow stint, Bertholdt was director of marketing for MontaVista rival Wind River, and he previously worked as a software engineer for the German Aeronautics Agency. A former professional volleyball player, Bertholdt received an advanced degree in computer science from the Technische Universitat in Munich.
Stated Harris, who assumed the role of CEO in February, “Joerg played a crucial role in developing our marketing plan, which has expanded our markets.”
Stated Bertholdt, “I will work with our engineering, product, and sales teams to ensure that MontaVista continues to deliver the commercialization solutions and services that embedded Linux developers need.”
