Hi, I just want to inform you about the existence of a new UMSDOS mini-distribution of Linux, called BrlSpeak. It can be installed without any assistance from a sighted person; and it comes with a special built-in preconfiguration for the braille device, so that a blind person should be able to… preconfigure the braille driver before running BrlSpeak. Also autocompilation of the driver at boot time and automated activation before the darkstar login prompt is provided. To know more, have a look at:
