PC/104 carrier board targets M2M, telemetry

The Web-Telemetry (wireless embedded baseboard for telemetry) supports several cellular modems and GPS receivers, and the board includes a wide voltage-range power supply that can run a PC/104 processor board.

According to Arcom, the Web-Telemetry can be fitted with GPRS/GSM modems such as the Sony Ericsson GM47/48 or Siemens MC35i. It also supports Motorola's iO200 and iO1500 modems, which work with Nextel's iDEN data network. Arcom says the Web-Telemetry is the first carrier board to support the iO200, which integrates a GPS receiver.
The Web-Telemetry can also be fitted with a low-power Trimble LassenSQ GPS receiver, said to provide positional data and an accurate 1 pulse per second synchronized to an atomic clock (UTC).
In addition, the Web-Telemetry includes a wide input (10-30v) regulated power supply that can be used to power a PC/104 processor board. The power supply can deliver 2.5A at 5v, 2.5A at 3.6v, and optionally, 250mA at +/-12v.
Additional features of the Web-Telemetry include two serial ports, a carrier for a SIM card (subscriber identity module), a 3V Lithium battery back-up supply, three user controlled LEDs, and a digital input accessed from an onboard parallel port.
It supports an operating temperature range from -20 Celsius to 55-75 Celsius, depending on the cellular modem option.
