Arabella Linux, based on the popular Debian Linux distribution, includes a complete development environment and comes with a companion Linux reference design. The package provides everything needed to download, run, and begin working on Linux applications optimized to run on the Embedded Planet boards, including the U-Boot bootloader, a fully functional Linux system, and host development tools.
Arabella claims to be the only commercial Linux provider offering high-performance Linux Native IPsec, optimized, according to the company, to “provide performance on par with high-end commercial IPsec packages at a fraction of the cost.”
According to Matt Hoover, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Embedded Planet, “The combination of IPsec software in Arabella Linux with processor-based hardware encryption is a great performance enhancement.”
