Real-time Linux used to build, test fighter jet engine

Two years in development, the engine was first tested at “full afterburner” level last week, according to the article. RTLinuxPro from FSMLabs “served in the development and testing of software for the engine's full-authority digital electronic control, as well as handling 'facility control' of test stands at the company's West Palm Beach, Fla., engine plant,” according to the article.
