Sega cuts Dreamcast price to $49 — run Linux on one?

Caution: From a LinuxDevices.com reader . . .I just saw the news item on LinuxDevices.com encouraging developers to try Linux on the Dreamcast. I should point out that there is a major caveat to running Linux on the Dreamcast. The caveat is that Sega has many different ROM versions on the Dreamcast and that recent versions of this ROM __will not__ boot any CDRs. Here are 2 pertinent links:
