Sysgo releases embedded Linux for x86, PPC, ARM, MIPS, and SH3

Sysgo announced a pair of embedded Linux toolkits for its ELinOS v2.2. The “BasicToolkit” is meant for use in evaluation, testing, and for educational purposes, while the “DevelopmentKit” is aimed at embedded system developers, and provides extended tools and support, the company said.

According to Sysgo, the DevelopmentKit contains the real-time extensions RTAI, NewLXRT, and LTT as well as libriaries for easy migration of VxWorks and pSOS2 applications to Linux. Additionally, the DevelopmentKit provides a large number of preconfigured templates and demo programs, that cover all important embedded functionalities, comes with one year of development support, the company said.

Both implementations support x86, PPC, ARM, MIPS, and SH3 processors architectures, and will be available starting July 14, 2003, Sysgo said. Pricing is Euro 299 for the basic kit, and Euro 2,000 for the higher end development kit (including one year of support).
