Talk to focus on future and outlook of embedded Linux

Monrovia, CA — (press release excerpt) — Toris Martin, software technical engineer at ParaSoft, will address the February 19 Bay Area Linux Users Group (BALUG) Forum on the future and outlook of embedded Linux development. The BALUG Forum takes place at 7 p.m. at the Four Seas Hotel in Chinatown, San Francisco.

Mr. Martin will discuss a range of topics regarding the development of embedded Linux applications, the benefits of open source operating systems (OS) and will compare Linux to other popular embedded OSes. Propelled by the growing consumer demand for sophisticated handheld devices, intelligent communication services and hardware, the development of embedded systems is at the forefront of today's technology marketplace.
