Telephony Board Maker Embraces Linux

Telesoft Design Ltd today announced that full Linux support for all of the company's CompactPCI (CPCI) and PCI products are. Telesoft Design Ltd, is a specialist in computer telephony and SS#7 solutions and is currently developing a full line of CompactPCI based products. Telesoft products include an Octal CompactPCI Line Interface Card that supports up to 8 E1 or T1 ports on a single-width 6U form-factor card. The board connects directly into the H.110 Computer Telephony Bus (a standard controlled by the ECTF) and can form part of a massive 4096 circuit simplex switching matrix in a single chassis. Each of the interface ports is fully configurable, as either E1 or T1 and virtually any protocol can be selected to run on the card. The card also supports mix-and-match signalling interfaces with transmission standards. All SS#7 and ISDN protocols are supported, including ISUP and TUP.
