Tiny Linux development board gains USB host, PCI support

The GX-Linux Professional Platform for Cogent's CSB655 now supports the tiny board's USB host and PCI interfaces. It targets low-power, low-cost industrial automation, telematics, and medical applications.

Cogent's CSB655 measures 1.75 x 2.5 x 0.36 (45 x 64 x 9mm). It's based on an AMD Alchemy Au1550 processor, which features a MIPS4Kc core clocked at 500MHz, 16KB each of instruction and data cache, and 3DES crypto acceleration.

Availability
The CSB655/955 development boards are available now, direct from Microcross, priced at $1,500, including Standard GX-Linux SDKs. They are also available with Professional GX-Linux SDKs, which include Microcross's Visual X-Tools IDE, priced at $3,500.
