Homeland Integrated Security Systems (HISS) has used embedded Linux to build a device aimed at tracking trucks at large shipping centers such as marine ports, among other applications. The Cyber Tracker integrates several cutting-edge features, including encrypted cellular networking, push-to-talk communications, GPS, and RFID, and is based on an Intel XScale processor running Linux, with Java-based application software.
