Webinar outlines embedded Linux development web services
Nov 3, 2005 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 1 viewsTimeSys will present another free (with registration) webinar next week. “Transitioning to LinuxLink” will introduce the company's web services for embedded Linux developers implementing custom OSes from free software and/or commercial distributions. It will feature product managers Gene Sally and Bill Von Hagen, and is set for Tuesday, Nov. 8.
TimeSys holds product-focused webinars regularly, but says attendance has run high since its strategic shift to focus on supporting embedded developers “rolling their own” Linux distributions. The company also hopes its LinuxLink web services product will appeal to embedded developers creating custom distributions from commercial Linux distributions.
Planned topics in next Tuesday's webinar include:
- How to transition from existing Linux distributions to LinuxLink
- Using LinuxLink with roll-your-own Linux projects
- Adopting LinuxLink for projects already underway
- Leveraging processor-optimized resources
- Overview of LinuxLink's 500+ cross-compiled packages, developer community, documentation, and online help facility
The event is scheduled for 10 AM Pacific (1 PM Eastern time) on Tuesday, Nov. 8. A registration form is available here. The event follows an earlier event introducing LinuxLink, which is archived here (registration required).
