TI taps MontaVista for OMAP Linux support

Virtual MIPS ‘Malta’ platform supports Linux-based device development

Virtio Corporation announced an evaluation and development environment for system-on-chip (SOC) platforms based upon MIPS32 and MIPS64 processor cores. Co-developed by Virtio and MIPS Technologies, the tool will help engineers conduct hands-on evaluations of real time operating systems (RTOSes), tool chains, and software on a virtual Malta Development Board.
