Call for papers: Applied Computing Conference and Expo

Poway, CA — (press release) — the Applied Computing Conference and Expo 2001 has announced its annual Call for Papers. The technical conference and exhibition, to be held May 14-17, 2001 in Santa Clara, California, will focus on the convergence between mainstream technologies and the dedicated computing space. Applied computing, a rapidly growing market segment of embedded computing, targets the application of standard computing technology to high performance, dedicated and connected systems. Focusing on technologies such as CompactPCI, Embedded Linux, Windows CE, and NT Embedded, server architectures such as PCI-X, RapidIO, and InfiniBand, PCI, USB 2.0, IEEE 1394, Universal Plug and Play, and Embedded Internet, the conference goal will be to put all the pieces together to illustrate how each can be an integral part of applied computing solutions.

Proposals are welcome from a variety of application areas, including, but not limited to, Dedicated/Industrial, Embedded Internet / Internet Devices, Data Communications, Data Acquisition, Test and Measurement, Telecommunications, Home Networking/Consumer Appliances, Server Applications, and High Bandwidth Networking. The Applied Computing Conference and Expo will be held May 14-17, 2001 in Santa Clara, California.

The deadline for abstracts is December 15, 2000 and the Paper deadline for proceedings is April 1, 2001. Submission requirements can be found at www.ac-conference.com.
