New highly-integrated system-on-chip for Internet appliances

SAN JOSE, Calif. — LinkUp Systems Corporation today announced its L7205 system-on-chip solution. The highly integrated device, which is aimed at the fast-growing Internet and information appliance market, includes an ARM720T processor plus two UARTs, USB port, IrDA interface, codec, DSP, and dual LCD display controllers. GNU telephony server project hits second Bayonne milestone

DSP board family gains Linux support

Ithaca, NY — (press release) — Traquair Data Systems, Inc. and Strategic Partner Hunt Engineering (UK) Ltd. are now supporting Linux on computers hosting their high performance HERON and TIM-40 multiple processor DSP boards. Traquair Data Systems claims that this is the most aggressive Linux support introduced from the DSP community to date. (more…)

New 0.21 micron process will boost DiskOnChip capacity

FREMONT, Calif. — (press release) — M-Systems Flash Disk Pioneers Ltd. announced today that DiskOnChip 2000 products are being upgraded to an advanced flash 0.21 micron process technology. Additionally, the internal flash file system technology, known as TrueFFS, is being upgraded to a new version (4.1 and 1.23 for DOS) in order to support the change and provide new features. (more…)
