We are also proud to publish an article describing the event, written by organizers Peter Wurmsdobler and Nicholas McGuire, and complete with photos by Mike… Rumpler.
The workshop covered a variety of real-time and embedded Linux topics including CORBA performance, predictive control systems, LITMUS-RT, XtratuM, and safety critical systems. Discussed applications ranged from industrial automation to train monitoring systems to robot controllers.
Held at Johannes Kepler University, the workshop featured a keynote by Tim Bird on the Consumer Electronics Linux Forum (CE Linux Forum). The event was sponsored by the Real Time Linux Foundation and by Professor Bernhard Zagar of the Institute for Measurement Technology. It was also supported by CELinux, IBM, and OSADL.
