Embedded board simulator supports uClinux on ColdFire, DSP

SkyEye 1.2.2 adds support for a Freescale ColdFire microcontroller and for an Analog Devices Blackfin DSP (digital signal processor), along with improved support for an ARM-based family of Samsung boards.
The SkyEye project achieved its first stable release last September, initially supporting Linux and uClinux on 11 different ARM-based board families. The new 1.2.2 release adds support for:
- Freescale's ColdFire MCF5249, a low-powered 140MHz microcontroller that has long supported Linux
- Analog Devices Inc.'s Blackfin 537, a newer DSP used in ADI's latest Stamp development board
Additional minor improvements in SkyEye 1.2.2 reportedly include:
- Improved support for Samsung 44b0x simulation
- DBCT (dynamic binary code translation) is enabled on gcc-3.x
- Some remote debug bugs fixed

Availability
SkyEye 1.2.2 is available now for download. It supports Linux, Windows, and BeOS development hosts, and has been tested on SUSE 10.2.
