Embedded Linux adds smarts to IBM terminals

According to IGEL, its “Embedded Flash Linux” operating system upgrade will convert the recently-discontinued IBM NetVista terminals into Thin Client devices, and will facilitate the addition of functions such as wireless LAN, 122-key keyboard support, and Internet browsers, including Java Virtual Machine (JVM), depending on the requirement.
IGEL Technology is a maker of Linux-based Thin Client terminals, and is a member of the 200-year-old Melchers group.
