Embedded Linux course adds real-time material

Dec 13, 2004 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — views

Linux training vendor TrainingCity says it has added material about real-time systems to its five-day hands-on embedded Linux course. Entitled “Embedded Linux: Hands On: Part 1,” the course covers the 2.6 Linux kernel and drivers, as well as real-time Linux. It targets software designers, firmware engineers, and quality assurance engineers.

TrainingCity keeps offices in San Diego, Calif. and Ottawa, Canada, and delivers courses throughout the year at its offices and at customer locations.

Besides covering the various types of real-time systems, and looking at the numbers for hard- and soft real-time Linux, the hands-on course covers the 2.6 kernel, and kernel drivers and modules, according to spokesperson John Downing. A more complete course outline is available online, as is a schedule of embedded-related training events.
