Ericsson selects HHL for embedded development
Jun 19, 2001 — by Rick Lehrbaum — from the LinuxDevices Archive — viewsMontaVista Software announced today that Ericsson AS, the Norwegian affiliate of Ericsson, will be purchasing an undisclosed quantity of product subscriptions to MontaVista¹s Hard Hat Linux (HHL) development platform.
Details of specific Ericsson embedded projects in which HHL will be used were not made public due to confidential agreements between the two companies. However, a MontaVista executive described the HHL platform subscriptions as being associated with a communications infrasture project, and said the HHL subscription sale marks the beginning of a world-wide agreement for MontaVista to provide Ericsson with embedded Linux tools and support in connection with certain Ericsson projects.
