Taipei, Taiwan – (press release excerpt) – Esfia today announced a new but stable software architecture for Linux based PDAs. The Esfia RedBlue/Palmlike Environment is a complete Window system that includes Esfia Palmlike Window Launcher, X server, FLTK GUI toolkit, and a collection of useful applications, all written using the standard X API.

Esfia has removed unnecessary libraries and compressed the X server and Xlib into approximately 1.3MB resulting in a very stable platform that supports hundreds of applications written using the standard X API . Esfia's PDA solution will be demonstrated running on a Compaq iPAQ PDA in Esfia's booth at the Cebit Show (Hanover, Germany) during the week of March 22, 2001.
