Former Lineo CEO takes helm at Metrowerks
Feb 5, 2004 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — viewsMetrowerks Corp. today named Matt Harris as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO). Harris is a former President and CEO of Lineo, which Metrowerks acquired in December of 2002.
Prior to his new role, Harris directed the Metrowerks European and Mid-East operations.
Before that, Harris practiced law at a San Francisco law firm, served as a founding partner of the Summit Law Group, and worked as a software engineer at Electronic Data Systems. His last case as a practicing lawyer was as lead technical litigator in the Caldera antitrust case against Microsoft.
Harris is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan law school, and earned a B.A. in finance at the University of Washington.
