KernelTrap has posted an interview with Rik Van Riel, who is well recognized within the Linux kernel hacker community for his rmap VM efforts. He is also the founder of kernelnewbies.org, a website dedicated to helping people learn about the Linux kernel.

“. . . The kernelnewbies project is meant to help people learn about the kernel. Usually this means discussion about the Linux kernel, but of course people wanting to discuss other operating systems are welcome too. Kernelnewbies currently has a web site, an irc channel, a mailing list and a wiki. More importantly, it has an active community of people who are willing to learn and help each other learn . . .”
