TimeSys has updated its LinuxLink subscriptions for a dozen SoCs with ARM9 (ARMv5 architecture) cores. The Pittsburgh-based embedded Linux developer services provider also announced it has updated its Intel Pentium III subscription, and has added a new LinuxLink Radio episode about porting kernels to new devices.

The newly updated ARMv5 LinuxLink subscription includes GCC 4.1.1 and binutils 2.17, and both glibc and uClibc C libraries. Also included are “hundreds” of pre-compiled binaries, including mplayer, matchbox, MAD (MPEG audio decoder), and alsa-lib audio utilities.

The updated Pentium III LinuxLink include new toolchains based on GCC 4.1.0 and BINUTILS 2.16.91, and both glibc and uClib. One new addition appears to be version 1.36 of the tsrpm tool for cross-platform development, said to offer improved test packages.
