“Linux Inside” seminars come to Wash. and Colo.

MontaVista Software is sponsoring a free, full-day seminar for software developers demonstrating how Linux can significantly reduce the cost of building and deploying pervasive computing devices. The seminar, titled “Linux Inside,” will be held at the Bellevue Hilton in Bellevue, Wash., on Friday, March 23 from 8:30 am to 4 pm, and at the Hotel Boulderado in Boulder, Colo., on Tuesday, March 27, from 8:30… am to 4 pm.

The “Linux Inside” seminar will feature demonstrations of embedded systems that have already been developed using Hard Hat Linux by MontaVista and its partners. Seminar speakers include MontaVista's CEO and embedded systems pioneer Jim Ready and other technicians on topics including: Linux for mobile applications; the ideal pairing of Linux and Java; native Linux real-time performance; and intellectual property issues.
