Linux panel to discuss device/enterprise convergence

FSMLabs founder Victor Yodaiken has assembled an all-star group of influential Linux experts for a panel discussion at a Real-Time & Embedded Computing Conference set for Jan. 25, in Santa Clara, Calif. The event is free to attend, and also features a Bluetooth training workshop.

Yodaiken's panel discussion is entitled, “Linux… the future is now.” Organizers promise discussion of “convergence and interoperability of Linux Enterprise and devices using multi-core, virtualization, synchronization and security technologies.”

Panel participants include:

  • Bill Weinberg, moderator, president of Linux Pundit
  • Victor Yodaiken — president and CEO of FSMLabs, and creator of RTLinux
  • Rajive Joshi — principal software engineer with Real-Time Innovations
  • Moiz Kohari — director of real-time solutions with Novell, and former CEO of Mission Critical Linux
  • Marc Miller — strategic alliance manager with Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)
  • David Rivas — chief technology officer with a la Mobile
  • Michael Ticse — VP of business development with Velankani Communications Technologies

The panel discussion will take place from 9:45 to 11:15 A.M.

The one-day Real-Time & Embedded Computing Conference (RTECC), held in the Santa Clara Convention Center, features numerous “table-top” exhibits from hardware, software, and services providers to the real-time and embedded computing industry, plus keynote talks, panel discussions, and workshops.
