LinuxWorld — (press release) — Indrema Corporation, creator of the first Linux-based video game and digital entertainment platform, and Linuxcare, Inc., a leader in comprehensive professional services and solutions for Linux and Open Source technologies, today announced that Linuxcare has been named a preferred third-party provider of technical support and other services to Indrema's software development… partners. This partnership represents part of a comprehensive video game development community and support network for the Indrema Entertainment System (IES), the company's new platform for TV-based video game and home entertainment applications.

Under the agreement, Linuxcare will offer Linux support to video game developers that wish to create next-generation games for the IES platform. DV Linux, the distribution of Linux pioneered by Indrema, is the first distribution designed for TV-based home entertainment applications. The IES, which is based on DV Linux and a specialized graphics engine, allows developers to take full advantage of the open architecture, resulting in highly optimized application code for TV-based consumer electronics devices.
