Jan 7, 2000 — by Rick Lehrbaum — from the LinuxDevices Archive — viewsVictor Yodaiken, of FSMLabs, will be chairing a session on Real Time & Embedded Linux at LinuxWorld in New York City on February 4th. The Session 83, entitled “Embedded and Realtime Linux” is part of “Track 3: Linux Kernel Internals” and takes place on Friday, February 4th, from 12:45pm to 2:00pm at the conference.
The LinuxWorld conference program describes the session as follows:
“While Linux is becoming more and more successful on the desktop and in the server space, Linux is also now widely used in realtime control and embedded systems. Standard Linux, RTLinux, and versions modified for small memory footprint, or for specialized embedded systems are being deployed in an enormous range of industrial applications. Linux is now running trucks, video editors, telephony components, movie robots, and industrial machine tools. This session will discuss both technical issues and the markets for these uses of Linux.”
