Low-cost thin client runs Linux

The fanless DIT6040A runs Devon's Linux-based “Devon Terminal Operatiing System” (DeTOS) on a 400MHz Via Eden processor.
The new device is a member of Devon's growing line of low-cost thin clients based on Via processors. Previous low-end models include the NTAVO NTA 6020 and 6010.
The new DIT 6040A offers 64MB 128MB of RAM and of flash memory. It supports 24-bit color displays up to 1280 x 1024, and can run network applications based on ICA, RDP, and the X window system, Devon IT says.
The device's interface ports include six USB, serial, parallel, PS/2, VGA, audio, and LAN. Additional touted features include:
- Graphical user interface
- Full multimedia support
- Displays Windows desktops, web browsers, and applications from multi-user Windows 2000 and Microsoft Server 2003
- RDP, ICA capable
- Available with Ericom PowerTerm LTC, No Machine NX, VNC, Tarantella, and SSH clients
- No moving parts (i.e. fans or hard drives) to fail
