Mind breathes new life into eCos

Thomas was one of the core architects of eCos and was involved in its development since its very early days — first at Cygnus Solutions, and later with Red Hat (after Red Hat acquired Cygnus). Thomas also was the initial developer of the Linux port to the PowerPC architecture in 1995.
With this new collaboration, Mind intends to extend its capabilities to support eCos development on new and existing platforms, as well as its support for Linux on new PowerPC and other platforms. Thomas will be working from his office in Colorado, which will also bring Belgium-based Mind a local presence in the US.
Mind is a supplier of consulting, tool chains, development, training, and support for Linux and eCos in embedded applications. Hardware platforms supported under include PowerPC (IBM, Xilinx, Motorola), ARM (ARM7/9, Net+ARM, StrongARM, XScale, pxa250), MIPS, SH3/4, and others.
