New SBS Gigabit Ethernet PMC module supports LInux

Carlsbad, CA — (press release exerpt) — SBS Technologies today introduced the PMC-Gigabit-ST2, a single-wide PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) with a single Gigabit Ethernet interface controller port that relieves bandwidth bottlenecks and allows for rapid incorporation of Gigabit Ethernet technology into high-performance CompactPCI systems.

Software drivers are available for Linux, VxWorks, and WindowsNT.

Other Specifications:

  • 1000BaseT /10BaseT/100BaseTX/ network interface card
  • Single-wide 32/64-bit, 33/66 MHz PMC
  • Compliant with PMC IEEE P1386.1 and PCI 2.2 specifications
  • Intel 82544 PCI Controller, Ethernet MAC/PHY
The 64-bit PMC-Gigabit-ST2 targets a diverse range of markets including industrial automation, semiconductor processing, medical, server and enterprise, data communications, LAN/WAN and telecommunications.
