New Xilinx FPGA eval platform features PowerPC, RocketIO, Linux
Nov 26, 2002 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — viewsSan Jose, CA — (press release excerpt) — Xilinx, Inc. announced the availability of its new ML300 evaluation platform to support designs based om the company's Virtex-II Pro FPGAs with immersed IBM PowerPC processors and RocketIO 3.125 Gb/s serial transceivers.
The evaluation platform includes the ML300 hardware platform, Virtex-II Pro FPGA, power supply, cables, hardware development tools, debugging tools, intellectual property cores and device drivers, embedded software development tools, example operating systems, tutorials, documentation and several reference designs.
In addition, board support packages (BSPs) are available for both the Linux embedded operating system from MontaVista Software and Wind River's VxWorks RTOS.
