Wind River claims record attendance at annual devcon

The three-day event drew 600 registrations, said to be the most in the event's history. The event featured entertaining and informative keynotes, sessions, workshops, training, an exhibits area, and “deep dive” technical demonstrations, according to the company.

- Celebrity Poker Showdown host Phil Gordon
- 135 technical and business track sessions and workshops
- “Turnkey partner pavilion showcase area” featuring exhibits from over 45 partners, including event sponsors Freescale Semiconductor, IBM, Intel, and Motorola
Wind River launched the conference with two free training classes on its Linux and VxWorks based device software platforms. The two hour classes covered project management, debugging, and analyzing. Additionally, a follow-up class introduced Wind River's general-purpose Linux platform.
Chief Marketing Officer John Bruggeman stated, “DSO [Device Software Optimization] is an emerging market, and managing and executing a DSO approach to device software across entire product lines will be increasingly expected by world-class manufacturers and suppliers. To that end, we're excited to offer these free training modules.”
