Commercial TCP/IP stack supports IPsec on ColdFire, PowerQUICC
December 14, 2004Interpeak is readying a TCP/IP stack with a built-in IPsec implementation that exploits the hardware cyptographic engines in forthcoming ColdFire and PowerQUICC chips. BargainPDA has reviewed the Sharp Zaurus SL-C3000, a Linux-based PDA introduced in October. The SL-C3000 is the first Zaurus model equipped with a hard drive. It is officially available in Japan, although several distributors resell internationalized English versions.
Igel Technology is shipping three new high-end thin clients based on embedded Linux. The Premium-series Clever Client models are based on 1GHz Via C3 processors, and include local Mozilla browsers with Flash and Acrobat plug-ins. An Enterprise model includes Java and a local SAP client.
WIN Enterprises has squeezed a Pentium 4 processor along with three gigabit and two 10/100 megabit Ethernet ports into a 1U high rack-mountable embedded platform available with Linux. The PL-01022 targets OEM networking, Internet appliance, industrial automation, and POS (point of sales/service) applications.
