Asian Embedded Linux company names VP/GM of Americas

Kumar will be based in the company's San Jose office and will head all operations in North America, the Caribbean and Latin America. In his new role, Kumar will be responsible for building Coventive's presence throughout the region, and for expanding relationships with key American manufacturers and the geography's active open source technology community.
Kumar brings more than twenty years of sales, business development and management experience to Coventive. Before joining the company, Kumar spent nine years at Motorola, as market development director and vice president in the automotive segment, and area sales director in Maryland, responsible for their mid-Atlantic sales offices. Previously, Kumar was director and acting vice president of sales for @TheMoment, Inc., a B2B infrastructure company, where he was instrumental in building the company's sales force. Prior to those endeavors, Kumar served as district sales manager at Advanced Micro Devices for six years. Kumar was most recently the co-founder of Futuredex, an innovative Web- and conference-based network. Mr. Kumar holds a BSEE degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and an MBA from Tennessee State University.
