Arcom has made a long-term commitment to sell a fanless embedded single-board computer (SBC) that supports embedded Linux. The embedded hardware specialist says it will sell its EBX form-factor Geode-based SBC-GX1 — first introduced in 2001 — until the year 2010 and beyond.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil start-up Ponto-i has developed a modern, Linux based jukebox with a retro look reminiscent of the 50s. The “Digipop” jukebox runs a custom Linux distribution based on Debian, along with LinuxBIOS, and uses a mix of custom and commodity PC hardware.
