DVD playback software targets embedded Linux devices

Digital video and training software vendor CyberLink Corp. is shipping PowerDVD Linux, its Linux DVD playback software for embedded Linux devices. The software targets multimedia set-top box (STB) system integrators and suppliers, according to CyberLink, and features high-quality video playback, Dolby Digital, fast forward, backward, pause, change skin, and more. Tiny, 3W Linux system sprouts expansion options

HP touts $2.5B Linux-related revenues, LTSP-based clients

HP has announced Linux-related revenues exceeding $2.5 billion dollars for 2003.
