Free webinars focus on CG Linux virtualization

The webinar will describe how to optimize MontaVista Linux Carrier Grade Edition (CGE) on single- and multi-core processors, using VirtualLogix's VLX for Network Infrastructure real-time virtualization platform.
Three versions of the one-hour webinar will be held on Nov. 20-21, targeted at different international regions but open at no cost to attendees worldwide:
- Session 1 — Europe/Mideast — Nov. 20 — 3 p.m. London; 10 a.m. New York
- Session 2 — Americas — Nov. 20 — 10 a.m. California; 1 p.m. New York
- Session 3 — Asia/Pacific - Nov. 21 — 10 a.m. Tokyo
Topics will include migrating from legacy RTOSes to Linux, using single-core software on multicore processors, real-time performance issues, and equipment design issues. The webinars are designed for NEPs (network equipment providers), embedded application developers, communications device architects, and technical managers, says MontaVista.
