Lineo uSolutions adds Bluetooth option to embedded Linux distro
Jun 19, 2003 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — viewsLineo uSolutions Inc. and Open Interface North America Inc. have announced a collaboration based on teaming up Open Interface's “BLUEmagic 3.0” embedded Bluetooth protocol stack with Lineo's “uLinux” embedded Linux distribution. Lineo will demonstrate BLUEmagic 3.0 running on uLinux at the Embedded Systems Expo & Conference in Tokyo next month, the companies said.
“We will begin to provide services for [the] Lineo uLinux platform as a new BLUEmagic Solution Program partner — not only porting stacks to products, but also developing applications, optimizing profiles to customers' specifications, integrating our solutions at a system level, and managing product development,” said Open Interface North America vice president of sales and marketing Hiroshi Onaka.
The two companies said they will jointly develop and support products based on the combination of uLinux and BLUEmagic 3.0 and will conduct joint sales and marketing activities. Additionally, Lineo said it plans to integrate BLUEmagic3.0 into its “ELITE” integrated development environment.
