A community-maintained website has sprung up around mobile-oriented open source software projects. The “Linux-To-Go” website currently hosts OpenEmbedded, Angstrom, GPE, Gomunicator, and several other high-profile open-source software projects. It has invited other projects to join, along with interested individuals and companies.

Project participant Florian Boor describes the project as follows:

The basic idea of Linux-To-Go is to create a transparent and independent platform for Open Source software development and easy information exchange for users, developers, and everyone else interested in Open Source on mobile devices.

Currently we provide web hosting, CVS, Subversion, and Monotone SCM systems, mailing lists, news, Planet, and a wiki. Most project-related services are managed by GForge.

Any project related to Open Source on mobile devices is invited to join us, as [are] people and companies interested in helping with the platform itself.
