PC/104 Consortium announces design contest
Sep 24, 2004 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — viewsThe PC/104 Consortium is holding its third annual PC/104 Embedded Design Contest to recognize developers who are designing creative products based the Consortium's PC/104, PC/104-Plus, PCI-104, and EBX standards.
Entries will be judged in three categories:
- Commercial for Industrial/Medical/Transportation/Other
- Commercial for Military/Aerospace/COTS
- Research Project
The deadline for entries is Dec. 10, 2004, and winners will be announced at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Francisco next March. The winners in each category will be flown to San Francisco to attend an awards ceremony in their honor, and their winning projects will be showcased at the Conference and presented to the press.
The 2005 PC/104 Embedded Design Contest will also give the embedded developer community a chance to choose their favorite entry from among finalists in all three categories, based on which they feel best utilizes the Consortium's technologies. Balloting will take place online, via email, and at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Francisco.
