PCI-104 SBC packs 1.6 GHz Pentium M, runs Linux

Low-power, fanless operation and a high-performance x86 processor make the PCM-3380 suitable for medical, military, transportation, and emergency services applications, according to the company.
The module incorporates Intel's 855 GME chipset, an integrated VGA/LCD controller that features an optimized “Shared Memory Architecture” (SMA) with support for up to 64 MB of frame buffer using system memory, according to Advantech. A 200-pin SODIMM socket supports up to 1GB of DDR SDRAM.
Advantech lists the following key features and specifications for the PCM-3380:

Advantech does not specify operating system compatibility in its data sheets. However, given that the PCM-3380 is based on Intel processors and PC-compatible chipsets, it can be expected to support Linux.
