Power.org powers up its first developer conference

The open industry group in charge of PowerPC has published the agenda for its first-ever developer conference. Many topics likely to interest embedded Linux developers will be addressed during the inaugural Power Architecture Developer Conference, set for Sept. 24-25 in Austin, Texas.

Especially interesting topics include the OpenEmbedded build system, Linux development with PowerPC targets, PowerPC virtualization, getting various RTOSes (real-time operating systems) to coexist with Linux, SLOF (Slimline Open Firmware), the P.A. Semi PA6T-1682M chip (and its virtualization capabilities), GNU tools for PowerPC, PowerQUICC firmware, and lots more. The full agenda can be found here.

In all, the event features 65 sessions, panel discussions, tutorials, and labs, presented by companies that include AMCC, CodeSourcery, Denali, EEMBC, Freescale, GE Aviation, Green Hills Software, IBM, Intrinsity, IPextreme, Mentor Graphics, Mindtree, OPSIS, PA Semi, Sona College of Technology, Technonics, Inc., and Thales Computers.

Registration is open, with discounted pricing prior to July 15.
