Red Hat, Inc. today announced Red Hat TechWorld, a technical conference aimed at bringing Red Hat customers and open source developers and advocates together for a variety of educational and technical tracks. The first of these global events will be held at the Brussels Expo, in Brussels, Belgium on September 17 and 18, 2001.

Red Hat TechWorld Brussels will feature educational tracks on a variety of open source topics including application development, high availability, clustering, real-time operating systems, journaling file systems and enterprise Linux deployments.

“This forum is a welcome return to the technical roots of the open source movement,” said Michael Tiemann, Red Hat Chief Technical Officer. “With the rapid adoption of open source technologies in applications ranging from embedded to the enterprise, both users and developers have much to share and discuss with each other. We look forward to adding our experience to the open education and information dialogue that continues to foster the growth of open source.”

Red Hat TechWorld offers attendees the chance to experience the industry's cutting edge technologies by attending technical and educational talks, by visiting exhibitor booths and by participating in various Birds of a Feather sessions.

Registration for this event starts May 4, 2001. Registration and sponsorship information is available online.
