CNET reports that a beta version of Linux 2.6 could be out as early as next week. “I'm planning on starting the so-called 'pre-2.6' series in early July, and that is kind of a beta series,” Linus Torvalds reportedly said in an interview. Reuters news service reports that Sharp Electronics and SAP AG, a maker of collaborative business application software, are partnering to give mobile corporate users remote access to SAP's business software apps using Sharp's Linux-based Zaurus PDAs.
