The Consumer Electronics Linux Forum (CELF) has scheduled a technical mini-conference for Nov. 30 in San Jose, Calif. The one-day conference will be open to anyone wishing to attend, and will feature presentations on a variety of technical topics, followed by BOF (birds-of-a-feather) sessions.

Most presentation time slots remain open. Event coordinator Tim Bird of Sony has outlined possible session ideas that include:

• How to find moronic, time-wasting functions in the kernel
• Report of recent developments in embedded Linux
• Discussion of Linux size issues (what to do next in size with regard to linux-tiny, squash-fs, small libc, automated size regression test, etc.)
• Introduction to the CELF test lab — how to prepare a board to interact with the lab
